How Did The Garden Grow?

Every dream has to begin somewhere…

……from starting in 2014 to today, developing Plant & Play Wildlife Garden is a continuing labour of love!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped and donated their time during the development of the garden. In particular Peter Boyd from Orchard Hill Landscapes, Les Lupton from Lupton’s Lawns, and Jason Lynn, a superb local tradesman and my amazing other half! These gentlemen donated their time and expertise to help turn my original vision for Plant & Play Wildlife Garden into a reality. You can see for yourself the amazing quality of their workmanship. I would highly recommend them for any work that you need carried out!

Once a pile of weeds, mud and rubble – the outdoor area has now been transformed into a working allotment – including a picnic area, imaginative play area, bird feeding station, musical instruments, and raised vegetable beds. All areas are suitable for wheelchair access. The garden is currently undergoing a refurbishment! Adding new seating areas and hidden gems! I will add more photos shortly.

Indoors we built an arts and crafts area, an indoor play room and unisex disabled toilet with baby changing facilities. It is here that you can find Pixi the blind Hedgehog and Pika and Chu the cheeky Chinchillas!
